A significant number of traders assembled outside the Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) office early on Tuesday to complete their registration for the upcoming Chaitra Mela. Participants from different parts of the state were seen lining up to secure their spots in the much-awaited annual fair.

Mayor Dipak Majumder announced that this year’s event will be held at Children’s Park. He assured that the civic body has made adequate arrangements to ensure a hassle-free experience for traders.

To tackle possible weather disruptions, the Mayor highlighted that covered stalls will be provided, allowing business activities to continue smoothly regardless of conditions.

According to him, space has been planned for around 400 to 500 traders. The administration is also putting measures in place to maintain order and ensure the fair runs in a disciplined and organized manner.

Majumder appealed to all participants to adhere to the guidelines and carry out their business peacefully, helping preserve the festive spirit of the Chaitra Mela.
