Former Uttarakhand Member of Parliament Tarun Vijay today met the family of MBA student Angel Chakma, who was brutally murdered in Dehradun, and expressed his heartfelt condolences.
Tarun Vijay arrived in the state yesterday and visited the bereaved family at their residence to share their grief and offer support.
Speaking to family members, Tarun Vijay expressed deep sorrow over the tragic loss. Later, while addressing the media, he said that his visit was solely to stand in solidarity with the family during this moment of immense pain.
“This tragedy is not only Tripura’s loss but also Uttarakhand’s,” he said, adding that the horrific incident in Dehradun has deeply shaken the conscience of the people there.
He stressed the urgent need for a fair, transparent, and impartial investigation into the case and demanded exemplary punishment for the perpetrators to ensure justice.
The brutal killing of Angel Chakma has sparked widespread grief and outrage across Tripura. Various organizations and individuals have come forward demanding speedy trial and strict action against those responsible.
