Kalyanpur witnessed a tragic road accident today morning in which an elderly newspaper vendor, Ajay Acharya, lost his life. The incident occurred at around 11 a.m. while he was returning home after finishing his work at a ration shop.

According to local sources, Ajay Acharya had been distributing newspapers on foot for many years and was a familiar and respected figure among residents of the area. While he was on his way back home, a speeding truck reportedly lost control and ran over him, killing him on the spot.

Soon after the accident, local residents rushed to the scene and attempted to rescue him. The fire and emergency services were informed, and they arrived promptly and rushed him to Kalyanpur Hospital. However, doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Police reached the hospital soon after being informed and have begun an investigation into the incident. The tragic death of Ajay Acharya has cast a pall of gloom over the locality. His untimely demise has also deeply saddened members of the media fraternity, who remembered him as a dedicated and humble worker.
