Political tensions are steadily rising ahead of the by-election in the Dharmanagar Assembly constituency, with the Congress camp intensifying its efforts to secure victory.
Determined to win the seat, senior Congress leader and former Pradesh Congress Committee president Birajit Sinha has actively joined the campaign in support of party candidate Chayan Bhattacharya.
On Saturday afternoon, Sinha conducted a door-to-door campaign in the Rajbari Mandap Para area of Dharmanagar. He was accompanied by district and sub-divisional leaders, along with a large number of party workers and supporters.
During the campaign, Sinha directly interacted with local residents, urging them to ensure a decisive victory for Chayan Bhattacharya. He also listened to various grievances and concerns raised by the people of the area.
Criticizing what he described as multiple failures of the current government, Sinha called on voters to strengthen the Congress party. According to party sources, the strong presence of workers and the positive response from the public have boosted confidence within the Congress camp.
With the by-election approaching, political observers are now closely watching how Sinha’s active campaigning will influence the electoral dynamics in Dharmanagar.
