CRPF protecting nation, saving lives through blood donation: Tripura CM

Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha today said that CRPF personnel are not only giving protection to the people but also doing noble work by donating blood.

Dr. Saha said this while attending a blood donation camp at the CRPF Growth Centre at Damdamia, Lembuchara today.

He said that he is really happy to attend the event.

“In CRPF, both men and women are present. From very long distances, many jawans have come here. Blood donation is a noble act. There is no greater work than donating blood. Donating blood is a matter of pride. We sometimes donate clothes, food, money, and education, but blood donation is above all. Everything you can purchase from the market, but you can’t buy blood. Only we can donate it. After donating blood, one person can truly feel what happiness is. The CRPF has been working for the protection of the country,” said Dr. Saha.

He informed that CRPF is an internal security force of our country.

“We have faith in CRPF. Though we have state police, CRPF is a matter of trust. Many CRPF personnel have laid down their lives for the protection of the country and even in Tripura, many CRPF personnel were martyred during the insurgency period. The country will remember this. And I want to congratulate all for organising the blood donation camp. This is really philanthropic work. CRPF is protecting the country and the state and also donating blood. We have been working to ensure the availability of blood across the state,” said Dr. Saha.

Dr. Saha, who is also the Health Minister of the state, said that the Rotary Club is also doing a very good job and has over 4 lakh members.

“Not only blood, but we can also donate our organs, and for that, awareness is really essential. Our state government is now working on organ transplants. Kidney transplants have been carried out successfully, and we have also inked an MoU with the Mohan Foundation for further work,” he added.
