The Border Security Force (BSF) Tripura Frontier celebrated the auspicious festival of Rakshabandhan with Seema Praharis at Frontier Headquarters, BSF Salbagan, Agartala, and various Border Out Posts along the Indo-Bangladesh border.

The celebrations were organised in collaboration with Kanya Katha, Agartala; Ma Anandmayee Vidyapeeth, Agartala; Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya; and MPJ Jewellers, Agartala Branch.

As part of the celebrations, students accompanied by their teachers, along with local villagers, visited BSF BOPs and tied Rakhis on the wrists of Seema Praharis deployed along the border. The gesture conveyed affection, gratitude and respect for the BSF personnel who remain away from their families while performing their duties in challenging border conditions.

The Seema Praharis warmly welcomed the visitors and expressed their gratitude for the heartfelt gesture. They reaffirmed their commitment to safeguarding the nation's borders with courage, dedication and unwavering devotion to duty.

The celebration went beyond the traditional significance of Rakshabandhan, symbolising the strong emotional bond between the BSF and the people living in the border areas. Such community outreach initiatives strengthen mutual trust and cooperation and reinforce the spirit of brotherhood, harmony and national unity.
