BJP Manipur kicks off three months long Atmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan campaign

With an objective to become self reliant by promoting idea of “vocal for local”, BJP Manipur Pradesh has kicked off the three months long Atmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan campaign from today onwards.

Addressing the press conference after the launching of the said campaign at BJP Office, its convenor of the campaign, MK Preshow Shimray said that Narendra Modi had conceptualised the idea of promoting local made items since the day he become prime minister of India 2014. Since then various initiatives have been taken up including Atmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan. Such steps would promote local artisan, farmers amongst others. 

He further said that putting all effort to fulfil the target of Atmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan, BJP Manipur Pradesh have launched the campaign from September 24 marking the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay. It will continue till the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee that falls on December 25.

While informing that campaign launched with the spirit of Har Ghar Swadeshi, Ghar-Ghar Swadeshi, he said that several activities such as the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Sammelan' and 'the Atmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Rath Yatra' have been planned to take so that this campaign to every citizen. 

The objective is to spread the message of "Vocal for Local and Swadeshi" across India, thereby strengthening the nation's economic condition and cultural identity, he added while stating that this idea of vocal for local and swadesh will be spread through districts and constituencies level of Manipur.

He also informed that during this three month campaign various section of society will be engaged that song competition, rally will be organised at academic institutions. Stall will be open up for local made item on the day festival like Diwali.
