The third National Lok Adalat of this year will be held across Tripura on September 13, 2025 (Saturday). The Lok Adalat will take place in all district and sub-division court premises as well as the Tripura High Court, with as many as 31,789 cases scheduled for disposal before 39 benches. Among these, 24,113 are pending cases in courts while 6,776 are pre-litigation matters.

Cases to be taken up include 203 related to compensation in motor accidents, 249 pertaining to marital disputes, 5,594 concerning bank loan repayment, 1,182 linked to BSNL bill payment, 23,442 conciliatory criminal disputes under the MB Act, TP Act, TG Act and Excise Act, 68 cases of cheque bounce under the NI Act, eight money suits, 35 civil cases (TSOMS), one under the Forest Rights Act and seven related to employment issues. In addition, 24 cases will be heard before a bench of the Tripura High Court.

Notices have already been served to parties involved, and many beneficiaries have begun availing themselves of pre-conciliation or settlement options through the District Legal Services Authority and Sub-division Legal Services Authority since September 8. Odhikar Mitra volunteers are assisting parties who have received notices to ensure smooth proceedings.

Executive Chairman of the State Legal Services Authority, Justice Amarnath Gaur, has issued necessary directions to ensure the success of the National Lok Adalat. Meanwhile, Member-Secretary Jhuma Dutta Chowdhury, in a press release, has urged all concerned parties to make use of this opportunity to settle disputes quickly and without incurring legal costs.
