The Indian community in Qatar has expressed strong support for the Indian Armed Forces and the central government’s firm response to terrorism through Operation Sindoor, voicing their appreciation during a community interaction held in Doha.
The event took place as part of a diplomatic visit by an all-party parliamentary delegation from India.
The delegation's visit to Qatar marked the first stop in a four-nation diplomatic outreach led by NCP-SCP MP Supriya Sule.
"At an interaction with the Indian community in Doha tonight, the parliamentary delegation from India conveyed the message of the nation’s united fight against terrorism. This was the concluding programme of their visit," the Indian Embassy in Doha posted on X.
The delegation's outreach follows the recent terror attack in Pahalgam and the subsequent launch of Operation Sindoor—India’s resolute counter-terror operation aimed at dismantling cross-border terror infrastructure and sending a clear, uncompromising message to the global community.
Members of the Indian diaspora in Doha commended the Armed Forces and the government, voicing their solidarity and pride.
“We want them to carry forward the message our Prime Minister is sending through Operation Sindoor—that going forward, any terrorist activity originating from Pakistan will be seen as an act of war,” said one community member.
Another attendee remarked, “It was very reassuring to see a multi-party delegation visit us in Qatar. The Government of India’s response through Operation Sindoor was explained in detail, and we learned many things we were not previously aware of. India’s zero-tolerance policy on terrorism is firm and clear.”
Amid rising global geopolitical tensions, the delegation’s outreach was described as transparent and timely. “We are now well informed about the situation back home, and the additional insights provided about Operation Sindoor were valuable. It is critical that India gives a strong and decisive response to terrorism so that no adversary dares to repeat such acts,” said one community leader.
During their stay in Doha, the Indian MPs met with Qatari dignitaries at the Shura Council, held discussions with government officials, media representatives, think tanks, and key Indian community leaders. The Indian Embassy in Qatar termed the engagements as “fruitful” and significant in deepening both diplomatic and people-to-people ties.
