The draft list of polling stations for the upcoming Village Committee General Elections was published yesterday by the State Election Department. As per the announcement, a total of 1,540 polling stations have been designated across 52 blocks in the state.

Monu Block records the highest number of polling stations with 87 centres, followed by Jampuijala Block with 81 centres. In contrast, Rajnagar and Bharat Chandra Nagar blocks have the lowest number, with just 2 polling stations each, while Kalachhara Block has 3 polling stations.

The list was officially issued by the Tripura State Election Department, which is responsible for managing preparations for the Village Committee elections.

Authorities have indicated that further details on the final polling arrangements will be shared after the draft list undergoes review.
