Over the last decade, India has witnessed a remarkable transformation under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Guided by the principles of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas, the nation has moved forward with confidence, purpose, and determination.
This journey of development has been especially visible in the Northeast, which Prime Minister Modi proudly calls Ashtalakshmi the eight states that represent India's growth, diversity, and strategic future.
Among these states, Tripura stands today as a shining example of what focused governance, political stability, and people-centric policies can achieve.
As someone born and brought up in Tripura, I have witnessed firsthand the changes that have taken place over the years. There was a time when development was discussed more as a promise than a reality.
Today, development is evident across our villages, towns, roads, schools, hospitals, and marketplaces. The difference is visible, and the credit goes to the strong partnership between the Narendra Modi-led Government at the Center and the BJP-led Government in Tripura.
Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha has emerged as a leader who combines humility with efficiency. Under his stewardship, Tripura has continued its journey towards becoming a modern, connected, and prosperous state. His government has worked with a clear vision ensuring that every citizen benefits from the opportunities created through development.
One of the greatest strengths of the BJP's governance model is its emphasis on infrastructure. Today, the Public Works Department, Rural Development Department, Urban Development Department, Drinking Water and Sanitation Department, and Transport Department are playing a crucial role in transforming the state's physical landscape. Roads are improving, connectivity is expanding, and urban infrastructure is being modernized. Better roads are not merely about transportation; they connect aspirations, create opportunities, and bring people closer to growth.
The Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department, Horticulture and Soil Conservation Department, Fisheries Department, Animal Resource Development Department, and Cooperation Department have been working together to strengthen rural livelihoods.
Farmers are receiving better support, modern techniques are being promoted, and value-added agricultural activities are creating new opportunities for income generation. Rural Tripura today is witnessing a new wave of confidence.
Education has also remained a major priority. The Education Departments, both Elementary, Secondary, and Higher Education, are helping create a stronger foundation for the future generation. New opportunities in skill development, employment generation, and technology-driven learning are empowering our youth. The Employment Service and Manpower Department are working to connect young people with emerging opportunities in a changing economy.
Healthcare has seen significant improvements under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, who himself comes from a medical background. The Health and Family Welfare Department, supported by central schemes such as Ayushman Bharat, has strengthened healthcare delivery across the state. Better medical facilities, improved healthcare access, and expanded public health initiatives have enhanced the quality of life for countless families.
The Information Technology Department, Science, Technology, and Environment Department, and Industries and Commerce Department are laying the groundwork for a modern economy. Tripura is increasingly becoming part of India's digital transformation story. Digital governance, online services, and technology driven administration have made governance more transparent and accessible.
The Tribal Welfare Department and the departments dedicated to Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups have played a vital role in ensuring inclusive development. Prime Minister Modi has repeatedly emphasized that development must reach the last person in the queue. In Tripura, this philosophy is visible through focused efforts for tribal communities, cultural preservation, livelihood enhancement, and empowerment initiatives. The vision of Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat becomes meaningful when every community progresses together.
Similarly, the Social Welfare and Social Education Department, Welfare for Minorities, Welfare for OBCs, and Welfare of Scheduled Castes Departments continue to ensure that development remains inclusive and equitable.
The Finance Department, Planning and Coordination Department, Revenue Department, and General Administration Departments have worked diligently to strengthen governance and improve service delivery. The BJP government believes that good governance is not merely about policies but about delivering results on the ground.
The Forest Department, Tourism Department, Youth Affairs and Sports Department, and Information and Cultural Affairs Department are helping showcase Tripura's rich natural and cultural heritage.
Tourism has immense potential in Tripura, and under the present government, efforts are underway to position the state as a key destination in the Northeast. Our forests, traditions, festivals, and historical sites are valuable assets that can generate both pride and prosperity.
The contributions of State Council of Ministers, have further strengthened the government's collective efforts. Their dedication reflects the BJP's culture of teamwork and service.
The BJP's philosophy has always been guided by the principle of Nation First, Party Next, Self Last. This approach is visible in the way development is being pursued in Tripura. The objective is not short term political gain but long term transformation.
Today, the Northeast is no longer viewed as a distant frontier. It is emerging as a growth engine of New India. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, connectivity, investment, tourism, education, healthcare, and infrastructure are reaching new heights across the region.
Tripura is proudly contributing to this larger national journey.
As we look towards the future, we do so with confidence and optimism. The people of Tripura have placed their trust in the BJP because they have witnessed development, stability, and responsive governance. Under the continued guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, Tripura is moving steadily towards a brighter future.
