Panchayat Minister Kishor Barman on Thursday said he participated in the two-day National Review Meeting on PM-POSHAN and Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan held on July 22–23 at the Bharat Ratna C. Subramaniam Auditorium, ICAR-Pusa, New Delhi, under the chairmanship of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
The meeting reviewed the implementation of PM-POSHAN and Samagra Shiksha across states and Union Territories, with detailed discussions on improving the quality of education, enhancing children's nutrition, increasing school attendance, and achieving the goal of universal education.
Barman said he highlighted Tripura's achievements and experiences in implementing the schemes and placed several constructive suggestions to further strengthen the state's education system and ensure the holistic development of students.
He reaffirmed the government's commitment to building a healthy, well-nourished and educated generation in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
