Tripura Social Welfare and Social Education Minister Tinku Roy has lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for strengthening women’s empowerment, safeguarding children’s rights and ensuring their holistic development.
In a statement following the second day of the departmental conference on women and child development at Sushma Swaraj Bhawan in New Delhi, Roy said the Prime Minister had outlined a forward-looking approach to building a society where women are respected, empowered and self-reliant, and every child receives the care, protection and opportunities needed to thrive.
Roy highlighted the Prime Minister’s emphasis on improving child nutrition, strengthening Anganwadi centres and enhancing the effectiveness of welfare programmes through active community participation. He also underscored the importance of close coordination between the Centre and state governments to ensure that development initiatives reach their intended beneficiaries.
According to Roy, public awareness and collective responsibility are essential to creating a safe and supportive environment for women and children. He said that empowering women and investing in children’s well-being are fundamental to achieving the vision of a developed and self-reliant India.
Expressing his appreciation for the Prime Minister’s address, the Tripura Minister said the guidance would further strengthen the collective resolve to advance women’s dignity, promote self-sufficiency and secure a brighter future for the younger generation.
Roy added that sustained efforts in these areas would contribute significantly to inclusive growth and the creation of a stronger, more prosperous India.
