In a continued effort to curb the rising drug menace in the state, the police administration carried out a special anti-narcotics operation today in the Goala Basti area. The operation was led by the police team from NCC Police Station.

According to police sources, acting on specific intelligence inputs, a large contingent of police personnel conducted extensive search operations across several suspected locations in Goala Basti. The operation continued for several hours.

During the search, police reportedly recovered a significant quantity of narcotic substances, including suspected drug tablets, cannabis, and other suspicious materials.

Three youths were detained from the spot on allegations of involvement in illegal drug trafficking activities. They were later taken to the police station for further interrogation.

Police officials stated that such anti-drug drives will continue regularly in the coming days as part of ongoing efforts to tackle drug-related crimes in the region.
