India’s high-intensity anti-terror offensive, Operation Sindoor, concluded on Saturday following a ceasefire agreement with Pakistan.
The Defence Ministry confirmed significant damage to Pakistani military infrastructure while firmly rejecting claims of Indian losses.
The Ministry dismissed as false Pakistani assertions that its forces had destroyed Indian BrahMos missile installations and struck airfields in Surat and Sirsa. Similarly, reports about attacks on Indian ammunition depots in Chandigarh and Beas were labeled misinformation.
Speaking at a joint media briefing of the three armed forces, Colonel Sofiya Qureshi reaffirmed India’s adherence to international norms, emphasizing the military’s respect for all places of worship. She also accused Pakistan of targeting Indian medical facilities in Srinagar, Avantipura, and Udhampur.
Over the course of the four-day conflict, Indian forces successfully repelled three major waves of Pakistani missile and drone attacks.
In retaliation, India launched precision strikes, inflicting severe damage on air defence systems and key Pakistani air bases, including Skardu, Sargodha, Jacobabad, and Bholari. Additional strikes targeted bases in Rafiqui, Sukkur, Murid, Chunia, Chaklala, and Rahim Yar Khan.
The ceasefire led to widespread celebrations across the country, particularly in border regions of Jammu and Kashmir and Rajasthan, where citizens were seen chanting "Bharat Mata ki Jai."
Defence officials asserted that the ceasefire comes with a clear warning: any future terrorist activity will be treated as an act of war and met with full retaliation.
