Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday expressed heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his warm birthday greetings, saying the Prime Minister’s constant encouragement continues to inspire him to serve the nation with dedication.

In a post on X, Shah wrote, “Thank you, Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji, for your kind wishes. Your inspiring words always motivate us to serve the nation better and realise your vision of a developed India. I am deeply grateful for your continuous support in our collective journey of nation-building.”

Earlier in the day, PM Modi had extended birthday wishes to the Home Minister, commending his relentless commitment to public service and his vital contribution to strengthening India’s internal security.

“Birthday greetings to Home Minister Shri Amit Shah Ji. He is widely respected for his hard work and dedication to public service. He has made significant efforts to fortify India’s internal security and ensure that every citizen lives in peace and dignity. Praying for his long and healthy life,” PM Modi posted on X.

Born in 1964, Amit Shah is regarded as one of the BJP’s foremost strategists and a close associate of PM Modi. Over the years, he has played a key role in several major policy decisions, including the abrogation of Article 370, implementation of internal security reforms, and promotion of cooperative federalism.

On his birthday, BJP workers and supporters across the country marked the occasion through various social initiatives such as blood donation camps, cleanliness drives, and community service programmes.

Several senior leaders also extended greetings to Shah. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh wrote on X, “Heartfelt birthday wishes to my colleague in the Union Cabinet, Union Home Minister Amit Shah. His hard work and strong determination are strengthening India’s internal security and ensuring peace and stability. May God bless him with a long, healthy, and successful life.”

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari too conveyed his wishes, saying, “Warm birthday greetings to my colleague in the Union Cabinet, Amit Shah Ji. Wishing you good health, long life, and happiness.”
