A dilapidated road in Bin Para of Bhagalpur under Narsingarh has become a major source of frustration for local residents, who claim that the stretch has remained in poor condition for nearly 25 years despite repeated demands for repairs.

Residents alleged that the road has deteriorated to such an extent that normal transportation has become extremely difficult. The situation becomes particularly serious during medical emergencies, as vehicles often struggle to reach the locality, making it difficult to take patients to hospital, they claimed.

According to residents, the demand for repairing the road dates back to the CPI(M) period. However, they said the change in government in 2018 brought little relief to their problem.

Krishna Dhan Das, who represented the constituency after the change of government, was also unable to resolve the issue, according to the residents. They further alleged that the present MLA, Nayan Sarkar, has also failed to ensure the repair of the road despite repeated assurances.

With their grievances continuing for years, some residents have now expressed their intention to boycott the upcoming election. They said they have seen representatives of both the CPI(M) and BJP governments but claimed that their basic demand for a proper road has remained unaddressed.

The residents alleged that promises are made whenever elections approach, but the situation on the ground remains unchanged. Despite several assurances that the road would be repaired, they claimed that no substantial work has been undertaken so far.

Residents also raised several other local grievances, with some preferring to speak without appearing on camera. They said their frustration has been building for years and that they now want visible development instead of repeated promises.

The residents warned that if the long-pending road problem is not addressed, they may express their dissatisfaction through the ballot box.
